The
daughters of Zelophehad speak rightly...
you shall
cause their father's inheritance to pass to
them.
"And the daughters of
Zelophehad the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son
of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the family of
Manasseh, the son of Joseph came. And these
are his daughters'
names: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. And
they stood before Moses and Eleazar the priest, and
before the rulers and all the congregation at the door
of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, Our
father died in the wilderness, and he was not among the
company who met together against Jehovah in the company
of Korah, but he died for his own sins, and had no son.
Why is our father's name taken away from the midst of
his family because there is no son to him? Give us an
inheritance among our father's brothers. And Moses
brought their cause before Jehovah. And Jehovah spoke to
Moses, saying, The daughters of Zelophehad speak
rightly. Giving you shall give them a possession, an
inheritance among their father's brothers. And you shall
cause their father's inheritance to pass to them."

Join us as we write
about our concerns and comment on life from a
female, Christian perspective. Whether it's
about spiritual abuse in the church, sexism in
our marriage, or just trying to make it in a
sinful world...cry loud and spare not!
The Daughters of Zelophehad [Numbers
27:2-4] went to Moses to plead their case
before God. They sought justice and liberty and
they got it. God did not rebuke them and tell
them to 'submit' and 'stay in their place'. God
spoke to Moses and said, "The daughters of
Zelophehad speak right." Then the Lord
proceeded to give them His Law and Truth
concerning the matter- dismissing man's rules
and traditions.
'Cries of a Christian Woman' is not about
bashing men, holding pity parties or neglecting
our marital duties, but about openly discussing [without fear or
retaliation] the different
experiences in our lives as women who hold
Christian beliefs. It's about pleading our
case before God and interceding for change.
Some of us are in a weak season and need support.
Some of us are in a strong season and can give
support.
Everyone will walk along the helpless road at some point in their lives.
Which road are you on today?
Women of God let us join together in
holiness and prayer, seeking the Lord for Divine
change in our lives, in our families, in our
communities and across the world...it's time
to be heard!
