LOOKING

FOR THE

LORD

TODAY,

WHILE HE

CAN STILL

BE FOUND

"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."  ~Mark 1:15

The bible says the Lord will have pity and compassion on whomever He chooses. If you call on the Lord for help, you will be saved from eternal damnation [hell] despite of your sins. God promises that He will forgive you. Even if you have not been worthy of His love- He remains faithful. His ways are so different than ours- and so is His love. There are two requirements to meet in order to be saved: [1] you must repent of your sins [which simply means to change your mind about them- seeing  them as offensive to God and now wanting to please Him] and [2] you must believe in Jesus Christ [that He is the Son of God, He died and rose again, He is our Messiah- the One who saves us from hell].

"Whoever will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me."  ~Mark 8:34b

If you have truly made up your mind to follow Jesus, there are three additional requirements: [1] deny yourself [you no longer do things your own way], [2] take up your cross [be prepared and willing to suffer the wrong that will come your way in life], and [3] follow Him [rely on Jesus and His power in order to respond to life in a Christ like manner in every situation].  This is a hard task for us to achieve alone. That's why He sent His Holy Spirit to give us the strength and power to live lives that are acceptable to Him.

"When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."   ~Matthew 19:25-26

No, thank you. I don't need to be a Christian.
