Heart of Prayer

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." ~Psa 121:1-2

Lord, keep prayer first in my heart, mind and spirit. Remind me to take every opportunity to lift up prayer and worship to You. May the Holy Spirit inspire and lead every prayer that comes from my lips. May I be found faithful in making prayers on behalf of those who serve You.

You, Jesus, are my holy priest that lives forever, praying on my behalf. You have the power to deliver, protect, heal, and keep everyone who draws close to God through You.

You are have compassion toward my weaknesses, because You have been tested, disciplined and tried in the same manner as I have, but without any sin. I will worship you publicly. I will come to You so that I can get a hold of Your compassion, Your favor, Your benefits and Your joy.

I will not worry about anything. Instead, I will lift praise, worship and prayer to You. I will do this with a grateful heart. I will make all my desires and concerns known to You. Doing this will bring Your peace to me. Your peace protects my mind and my emotions.

Jesus, You will judge in the last day. You will pass sentence on everyone who dwells in the earth. You died- but how so much the more You rose again. You now remain at the right side of God the Father, praying on my behalf.

I must always pay close attention to myself, to make sure my thoughts, my emotions and my mind are not burdened or distracted by the things of this life. I will keep a watch so that the Day of Judgment will not come upon me unexpectedly. Help me to stay alert. I must do this so that I will be able to stay in Your presence.

Lord Jesus, You give everlasting salvation and deliverance to everyone who listens and conforms to Your commands and authority. Give me a heart to listen and conform to Your commands and authority. I will always make room for You to be Lord in my life.

You are just in all You do and in all You say. You are a friend to whoever faithfully calls upon You in truth. You are near to everyone who sincerely invites You into their life. Help me to keep a holy reverence toward You. If I do this, You will give me my desires and will answer my prayers. You will defend me, keep me and cause me to be safe. You have given me the victory.

Jehovah, my Lord, You will put a hedge of protection around me and will guard me, because I love You. I have assurance in You. You will hear my prayers.

Keep me from all evil. Refresh and renew me. May You- the God of peace and the God of rest– always be one with me.
