PURSUING GOD: My Testimony

I have been diligently seeking the Lord for a about three years for a sense of purpose and destiny. I always had a passion for studying and learning, but never took the time to study and learn about God. Once my family's personal situation changed, I made up my mind to pursue God.

I studied and prayed for hours every day. I say this not to boost myself up in God, but to show how serious and desperate I was. After setting my heart to pursue God, I found a new identity in His Word through His Spirit. I found myself in Him. My mind was changed, I truly became a new person.

I am now a believer that all things can change through pursuing God. Be patient, it will take a lot of time and effort. My desire for God came through no man but through Jesus Himself. The Holy Spirit taught me and showed me the way. I challenge you to allow Him to do the same in your life.

Christianity is never about following what someone else did to succeed in life, or the 10 steps to finding peace with God. If you begin to press into Him you will find Him. How long it takes, how much bible reading, how much prayer it takes- this all must come through how serious [and desperate] you are, and by the leading of the Holy Spirit. You have to have your own HeartEncounter with God, through your own personal relationship with Jesus Christ. There is no other way. You must experience Christ yourself. Someone can tell you all about Him, even teach you all about Him- but unless you experience Him yourself you can never be a TRUE BELIEVER.
