"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." ~2Timothy 2:3
R.A.W. is an acronym for RAISING ABLE Warriors. RAW is for all the single women, wives and mothers out there who are determined to take their place [ministry] as good soldiers of Christ. Whether you are already fully engaged in warfare on behalf of your children or husband, or are just tired of being a victim- we are here to encourage you to trust in the Lord your God.
RAW is two fold: [1] to helping women to become authentic disciples, servant worshipers and able warriors in Jesus Christ and [2] giving them resources so they can victoriously fulfill their ministry [role] as Christians, wives, and mothers.
To raise means to to cultivate, to care for to maturity, to bring up, to rear. The word also means to move to a higher position, to elevate, to set in an upright position, to cause to arise, to increase in strength, to awaken and arouse, to stir up.
What does it mean to be 'able'? When you are able you have sufficient power or resources to accomplish something. In this case you have God- your Heavenly Father- on your side, Jesus in heaven praying on your behalf, and the power of the Holy Spirit. When you are able you are capable and competent. This only comes from God through Jesus Christ. Not only do you and your children need to be warriors- but you must be able warriors.
Well, what exactly is a warrior? A warrior is one engaged energetically in a cause or conflict, one who is involved in warfare- which is an active struggle between two entities [in this case it is between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of darkness]. It also means one who is skilled in warfare, a soldier, a champion, a person engaged in the military life. We must raise our children as genuine disciples of Jesus Christ who are involved in spiritual warfare and teach them the skills needed to keep the victory. This is not a joke, because the devil isn't playing!
The word raw means not processed, unrefined, unpolished, unpracticed, inelegant, basic and simple. You believe there is a certain level in your Christian walk that you should have reached by now, or that you want to get to. HeartLand is about working out those raw places in our hearts, minds and souls- so that we can properly love the Lord and love others. It not about being 'perfect in your religion' or by anyone's standards. It's about reaching maturity in your Christian walk- 'being perfected [maturity] through the power of the Holy Spirit'.
Everything may not be in 'proper spiritual order' in your life, but you are determined to finish the good fight of faith with victory. Stay focused on genuinely loving the Lord, trusting Him in all things and at all times, learning about Him and His way of doing things [Bible] and obeying His Word. Do everything to please GOD, and when you fall short, ask Him to forgive you and get back on the right track.
