When we make the decision to walk with Christ and obey him, it can be a lonely walk. We may lose some friends- even some family. When you get into a certain place with God- a place of submission and obedience- you will walk alone. You are not the only one being obedient, but you will be kept in a consecrated place with the Lord. Here is where you will learn endurance, longsuffering, patience, and trust. Here is where you will learn what it means to abide in Christ...

The Walk

I know they call me crazy but
I don't live my life by luck
It's by faith I take this road
I'm guided by a Truth of old

Doubts have turned into assurance
My life's pain- into endurance
Got a testimony to proclaim
Can't you tell I'm not the same?

At last You have saved the best
You've got me on a complex quest
Yet simple enough for a child to see
I have to go where You send me

Failure is part of this process
Just as much as true success
It's by patience that you grow
Not what you think, but what you know

I can't go with the popular vote
They cry despair, I'm singing' of hope
If they could see what You've shown me
They'd lay down their burdens and realize they're free

It's a lonely, lonely walk
You must finish once you start
They don't know You have the plan
Far beyond the thoughts of man

It's a lonely, lonely walk
You must finish once you start
Stand for nothing? Then you'll fall
So when you stand, you ought stand tall
