God puts us in situations to build our confidence in Him. If we are confident in our God- in His power and ablility- then we will be confident in all we do.

Pro 3:5-6 KJVA  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  (6)  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

If we trust that God has our best interest in mind- then we can be confident. Sure- we may mess up sometimes- and believe me we will- but God will turn it around for good if we continue to love Him and trust Him.

God is building my confidence in Him. I am beginning to step out on things that have been hidden in my heart. So far so good. Not because everything has been perfect- but because I rest in the arms of the PERFECT ONE.

It’s not always an easy task to stay grateful. What excatly does grateful mean?

GRATEFUL: warmly or deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received; thankful:

Sometimes we forget how blessed we truly are and fall into the pit of ‘ungratefulness’. I know I have many times…

My family gets on my nerves…

I wish I could go out of the home like I used to…

Why do we have to live in THIS neighborood…

This car is a piece of trash, I need a new one…

When we are content and grateful for what God provides and how He provides it, we will become more grateful:

I am grateful for my family, for my husband and my children, my mother and sister. I remember when we had arguments and fights.

I am grateful for the blessed opportunity to stay at home with my children, and to be able to homeschool them. I remember when we I had to leave them with other people to do other things.

I am grateful for my home. I remember when we had no home and when we had to live with other people.

I am thankful for my car. I remember when we had no transportation.

When we stay focused on God and remember that He will not keep any good thing from us, we will see our lives from His perspective.

When we stop being selfish, greedy, spoiled little children, we will remember one thing: GOD IS ALWAYS GOOD!

Hard work is hard…isn’t it? But it’s always worth it in the end.

Today I had one of my pressing days… I had to get an enormous amount of work [a week's worth of dirty laundry for 2 children, 2 teens and 2 adults] in a ’short’ amount of time. It took all my strength not to complain…

I’m glad I didn’t. It would have put me in another mood that requires too much energy to sustain. Actually, my temptation dissolved after a couple of hours. Complaining wouldn’t have changed a thing- but my mood…

We all have many things we have to do before we can get to the many things we want to do. The trick is staying focused on the bigger picture…

We just got out of a heat wave last week…and boy it was HOT! On that first sizzling day I went out to the store with my daughter. As I stopped at the light I noticed the lot was full, but there was one car pulling out. I turned into the tight parking lot and the car behind me attempted to do the same. She went around me as I stopped and turned on my signal light for the “parking space the Lord provided for me” [lol]. When the parked car pulled out, I waited for the car that came in after me to turn around [because there were no parking spaces]. Instead she backed into ‘my space’! I could not believe it, as she turned off her car and started to get out. I pulled up in front of her SUV and began to roll down my window. There was a split second where I thought to let it go- but it was just a split second. I said- ‘Why did you take my parking space?’ She said [not caring one bit]- ‘Your parking space? There’s no name on it!’ and kept walking. Well, I just couldn’t let it go… I proceeded to say- ‘Are you just going to do that? You saw me…’- you get the point. She turned to me as she walked into the store she said- ‘There’s one right there.’ And sure enough, someone else was pulling out.

Well, here we go again with another life lesson: If God really has something for you- you will get it. I was so caught up in the first parking lot and ‘discussing it’ with the lady [who could care less]- God had provided another parking space. To say the least, I ended up apologizing to the woman.

This is not the first time God has shown me that what He has for me NO MAN CAN TAKE! There is no one or nothing that can get in God’s way. If I trust in Him- at ALL times- I will be at peace. No matter how immature, or hot, I get- God is ALWAYS FAITHFUL.

If anyone had asked me if I trusted God for everything, I would have said, “Yes. I trust Him for everything.” But as I look back I realize that I didn’t. I really had a lot of fear…

When I suspected that things are not going to go my way- I got scared. When I had to confront something I would rather not- I got ’scared’. When things were not in order- I got ’scared’. No- I did not have a long list of phobias. I just realized that fear has played a major part in my life- and was ready to cut that old friend off.

Fear has a few aliases: worry, fright, panic, timidity, etc. Whatever you call it- its still fear. I started to keep tabs of when it showed up. Then I decided to take control over my thoughts and feelings. Why am I ’scared’? Has God ever forsaken me before? This is where I take my focus off of fear and onto God. Its called resting in His arms.

I am still learning to quiet my own thoughts and fears and focus in on God’s small voice. I used to get aggravated when people would say- ‘don’t look at what you see…’. Now I am practicing it. Guess what? I really works! Not only does it get rid of the fear, but it strengthens your relationship with God.

Trust is a funny thing. If you sit down and make a list of the things or people you trust- and really evaluate it- you will find out that the only true rest you will ever get is in God…
